Some Say by Ice!", Peter Parker’s life takes a bizarre turn when Brian Braddock, a British exchange student, ends up sharing his dorm—leading to an instant clash between Spidey and the newly arrived Cap Britain. Before they can sort out their misunderstanding, the two are captured by the ever-crafty Arcade, setting off a high-stakes game with no clear rules. Written by Chris Claremont and brought to life with dynamic art by John Byrne—complete with inks by Dave Hunt and colors by the same—this 2011 Marvel Team-Up issue captures the classic mix of humor, action, and unexpected teamwork, all wrapped in a cover by Byrne and Tom Palmer.
In "All This and the QE2," Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel race to stop the Super-Skrull from claiming a mysterious crystal capable of hyperspace travel, leading them on a high-stakes chase across the decks of a historic ocean liner. With the fate of the ship—and possibly the world—hanging in the balance, the duo must outthink a foe powered by an alien energy beam and a relic from a forgotten past.
When British exchange student Brian Braddock lands in New York and ends up sharing a room with Peter Parker, an awkward clash of cultures quickly turns into a superhero showdown. Just as Spidey and Captain Britain are learning to team up, they're both captured by the cunning Arcade—leaving their next move firmly in the hands of fate.
In "Tigra Tigra, Burning Bright!", Kraven the Hunter unleashes his cunning by enslaving the feral heroine Tigra with a control collar, forcing her into a deadly duel with Spider-Man. As the web-slinger battles to free her from Kraven’s trap, an uneasy alliance forms between the two heroes, turning the tide against the hunter’s brutal game.
In "The Measure of a Man!", Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson stumble upon Man-Thing on display in a traveling circus, sparking a mission to return the creature to its natural home. When Spider-Man tracks Man-Thing to the Florida swamp, he finds the creature drawn toward a house where d'Spayre holds an ancient sorcerer and his young apprentice. With the odds stacked against them, Spider-Man and Man-Thing must confront the villain’s dark magic before it’s too late. The story closes with the two unlikely allies resting together in the quiet of the swamp, their bond forged in the heat of battle.
