With the revelation that Peter Parker is posing as the Green Goblin, he has to shake off his super-powered pals by using his wife as a hostage which allows him to escape. With Peter on the run and hated by normal humans everywhere, Gwen, Captain Stacy and Uncle Ben don spider gear and break into Jameson's apartment to retrieve Peter's diary which has been the cause of their troubles. When Jonah shows up via a spider slayer robot and attacks the Parkers, Spider-Man swings in and saves them but takes the diary for himself. Or so he thinks, as Captain Stacy uses webbing to secretly take it back.
