“Torment, Part 5”

The "Torment" arc reaches its fifth and final chapter with a cover by Todd McFarlane that crackles with raw, kinetic energy — a battered, web-dripping Spider-Man bursts through a storm of shattered debris while a red-clad figure is hurled through the destruction above him, the chaos framed in McFarlane's signature swirling, gritty style. The teaser "The Arachknight Triumphant?!" hints at hard-won resolution without giving anything away, perfectly capturing the tension of a hero pushed to his absolute limit. It's a fittingly intense close to one of 1990's most visually ambitious opening storylines.
