Spider-Man and the X-Men's Beast charge straight toward the reader against a web-patterned yellow backdrop, with a snarling, fang-bared Beast looking every bit as wild and powerful as Spider-Man's poised, wide-eyed intensity suggests this team-up means serious business. Erik Larsen both writes and illustrates the whole issue, bringing his bold, kinetic linework to "The Mutant Factor!" — a story title that teases something mutant-related lurking at the heart of the action. A great October 1991 Marvel pickup for fans of either hero.
