On Earth, he arrives just as Balder fights the Enchantress and the Executioner, who have been tormenting Jane Foster, and soon after, he journeys to Vietnam—drawn by the lost Norn Stones—where he becomes entangled in the conflict, rescuing a young girl named Kim after her family is lost to the war’s violence.
In "To Kill a Thunder God!", Thor ventures into Vietnam in search of Loki’s Norn Stones, only to be felled by a mysterious hunter wielding an anesthetic dart. As the hunter stumbles upon a hidden temple, his mind merges with the ancient, dormant Destroyer—awakening a force of pure destruction. Now locked in a brutal clash with Thor, the hunter-turned-weapon unleashes a devastating elemental blast aimed straight at the God of Thunder. With Odin asleep and Loki trapped, the fate of Asgard hangs in the balance.
In "The Golden Apples!", the goddess Iduna journeys through the wilds with a precious gift of golden apples for Odin, her path threatened by the looming presence of Fenris Wolf. With courage and cunning, she finds unexpected aid in Haakun the Hunter, whose skill may be the key to her survival.
In "The Day of the Destroyer!", Thor faces a relentless foe in the form of the Destroyer, pushed to the brink of death—only for Loki, fearing the creature's power, to intervene. With Thor's life hanging in the balance, Loki summons Karnilla, the Norn Queen, to awaken Odin from his Odinsleep. As Odin returns to consciousness, he witnesses his son's struggle, torn between guiding Thor and honoring his son’s need to fight his own battle. The clash ends in victory, but at a cost—Thor’s hammer is broken, the Temple of Darkness lies in ruins, and Odin’s pride swells at his son’s courage. Yet when the dust settles, Loki is punished for his actions, bound in servitude to Ularic, Odin’s Royal Warlock.
