Spawn #73 brings "The Heap" to life with a cover that puts our hellspawned antihero face-to-face with a truly massive, shambling creature — a grotesque, rock-and-debris-encrusted behemoth whose glowing green eyes and jagged maw dwarf the red-caped Spawn, who stands his ground clutching a chain and crackling with green necroplasmic energy. Greg Capullo's pencils and Danny Miki's inks give both figures tremendous tactile weight, from the monster's layered, almost geological hide to the dynamic sweep of Spawn's billowing cape.
