Bootsy is a street-level character inhabiting the gritty urban world of Spawn, crossing paths with Al Simmons and detective duo Sam Burke and Twitch Williams in the dark corners of New York City.

Street-level and steeped in the gritty urban atmosphere that made Todd McFarlane's Spawn one of Image Comics' defining titles, Bootsy debuted in 1995 and carved out a niche in one of the Modern Age's most atmospheric corners of comics. Over a handful of years, this character shared pages with the likes of Al Simmons, Spawn himself, and the fan-favorite detective duo Sam Burke and Twitch Williams — about as vivid a cast as the dark streets of the Spawn universe could offer. Appearing across Spawn, Curse of the Spawn, and even the Spawn Bible, Bootsy may not have the longest rap sheet in the catalog, but those 13 appearances place them squarely within the rich, sprawling mythology that made Image's flagship horror-action series a collector's staple of the era.
