Spawn #195

Spawn #195 brings the "Endgame" arc to its eleventh chapter while also delivering the fourth and final installment of the Image United Prelude — a lot of story packed into one 2009 issue. The cover by Greg Capullo (pencils) and Todd McFarlane (inks) is a visceral showpiece: Spawn, cloaked in his sweeping red cape and glowing green eyes, drives his fist upward into a grotesque, bloodied creature that erupts in a burst of crimson gore above him. It's a punishing, kinetic image that captures the raw, darkly supernatural tone this series has sustained across nearly two hundred issues.
