Spawn #169
In Spawn #169, writer David Hine and artist Brian Haberlin deliver a gripping tale that kicks off with Nyx fleeing through the night, pursued by menacing, hungry dogs. She seeks refuge in a voodoo shop, where the Voodoo Queen warns her against meeting a charlatan claiming to restore her magic—a trap orchestrated by Mammon to resurrect Zera, Queen of the Seraphim, through Nyx’s possession. With the Voodoo Queen summoning Al Simmons to intervene, the stage is set for a supernatural clash rooted in deception and ancient power. The cover by Brian Haberlin captures the tension with a striking, shadowed image of Nyx’s desperate flight.
