Spawn looms large and menacing against a full moon, his billowing red cape spread wide and glowing eyes cutting through the darkness, while three snarling white hellhounds surge forward in the foreground — a striking composition that crackles with supernatural tension. The cover pencils by Greg Capullo and inks by Todd McFarlane give the image a raw, kinetic energy that suits the "Retribution Overdrive Part I" chapter title perfectly. With interior art by Angel Medina and a story from McFarlane and Steve Niles, this 2001 Image Comics issue promises a chapter of Spawn that's as visually fierce as its cover suggests.
