Spawn #103

This 2001 installment of Todd McFarlane and Brian Holguin's long-running Image series delivers a genuinely unsettling cover by Greg Capullo and inker Danny Miki — a massive, snarling demonic face looms from a stone wall above a small, red-caped Spawn, whose glowing green eyes are the only warmth against the cold blue shadows. The composition brilliantly plays with scale, making Spawn feel both vulnerable and defiant as he stands his ground beneath that monstrous visage. With interior art by Angel Medina and "Cautionary Tales - Part II Remains" as the story, issue #103 keeps the series firing on all cylinders.
