Space Mysteries #9

This anthology issue contains two science fiction stories. The first story features Brad and Mary battling a giant metal robot controlled from within by an alien intelligence; after struggling against its metal tentacles, Brad manages to destroy the robot's wooden nerve center, saving Earth from invasion. The second story, "The Martian Plague," depicts a drought-stricken Mars where an alien ship crashes, leading to conflict between Martians and Earthmen over colonization rights, which ultimately resolves when both species agree to peaceful coexistence and shared knowledge on a satellite colony.
