The series was announced in February 2024 under a licensing arrangement between Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, with the first volume running twelve issues from May 2024 to April 2025. Following the Vol. 1 annual, Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci greenlit a second volume relaunch in August 2025 — explicitly positioned as a jumping-on point for new readers — with writer David Pepose and artist Jonathan Lau retained as the core creative team. Vol. 2 #8 continued that same team's uninterrupted run on the character, accompanied by colorist Andrew Dalhouse and letterer Taylor Esposito, all of whom had worked on the series since its debut.
