Space Ghost #10
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeSpace Ghost Vol. 2 #10 (April 2026) functions as the pivot of the second volume's most ambitious multi-part arc, escalating the series from street-level cosmic adventure into full-blown multiversal science fiction by placing Tempus the Time-Master — seeded as a threat since the 2025 Annual — center stage for the first time in active combat against the core team. The issue ends on a time-scattering cliffhanger that separates Jan, Jace, and Space Ghost across different eras, a structural gambit that deepens the twins' roles as genuine heroes rather than supporting sidekicks. As the penultimate stretch of what proved to be the final volume before the series concluded in June 2026, #10 represents the creative team at full confidence — using a classic villain coalition (the Council of Doom) as a mere distraction to showcase a more existential, multiverse-spanning threat. It also stands as evidence of the sustained critical momentum of David Pepose and Jonathan Lau's run, which began in 2024 and directly generated a second volume, a crossover miniseries, and a forthcoming Herculoids event.
In "Time" to Rumble!, Space Ghost and the Ghost Team face their most time-bending threat yet as Tempus the Time-Master unleashes the Council of Doom, setting off a chaotic battle that fractures the team across eras. Stranded in a prehistoric Earth and a ruined future, Jo and Blip confront ancient dangers while Jan and Jace discover a familiar face among the wreckage of Cetia-7. Written by David Pepose and brought to life by Jonathan Lau’s dynamic art and Andrew Dalhouse’s vivid colors, this issue marks a pivotal moment in the series. The cover by Francesco Mattina captures the epic clash in bold, striking detail.

Dynamite Entertainment launched its Space Ghost revival in May 2024, with writer David Pepose and artist Jonathan Lau attached for what was originally negotiated as a 12-issue run plus an annual — the full scope of which Pepose has publicly described as 'a year's runway.' The series proved commercially and critically successful enough that Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci approved a second volume, relaunched with a new #1 in August 2025. Pepose has noted in interviews that it was specifically the reception around the Vol. 1 #10 'Space Spectre' issue that prompted Dynamite to ask him whether he had more stories to tell, making that earlier issue the editorial inflection point that led to the entire second volume — and by extension, to Vol. 2 #10 existing at all. The second volume retained the complete creative team of Pepose (writer), Lau (artist), Andrew Dalhouse (colorist), and Taylor Esposito (letterer), with the Tempus the Time-Master threat formally introduced in the Annual before being fully unleashed in Vol. 2's later issues.
