Un groupe de mercenaires, dont Conan, est engagé par le noble Tollius pour récupérer son héritage dans le village de Harrikar. Conan se bat contre une armée de morts-vivants pour atteindre un prix qui fera de son propriétaire un roi, mais conclut un accord avec le seigneur vampire afin de sauver sa propre vie. Le seigneur vampire prend sa revanche sur Tollius, le descendant du frère qui l'a autrefois condamné à une éternité comme mort-vivant.
