Sonic Boom #5

Part of Archie's 2015 Sonic Boom series — tied to the hit video game and TV franchise — this fifth issue leads into the "Worlds Unite" crossover event with a cover that's already having a little fun. Patrick "Spaz" Spaziante's artwork puts a grinning, larger-than-life Dr. Eggman front and center, flanked by his squat Badnik robots, while a wide-eyed Sonic scrambles in from the right demanding, "Hey, Eggman — get off my cover!" It's a playful, self-aware setup that perfectly captures the lighthearted energy of the Sonic Boom universe, with the interior story "Eggtoberfest" promising even more from this colorful cast.
