An anthology issue featuring multiple stories. In one story, "Abdul the Arab" tracks down a stolen oil pipeline running from an Arabec company line to Holden's camp in the desert, discovers Hassan's involvement in the theft, and pursues the escaping thief. In another story, a professor's Egyptian knife collection becomes the target of thieves who attempt to force its location from him; a character named Chic thwarts their plans by pretending to close a museum door but leaving it ajar, allowing him to track the criminals and recover a stolen stone. "The Avenger" investigates mysterious fires set in an apartment building—including one ignited by a short-wave transmitter—and pursues a hooded figure through the streets as the investigation unfolds.
