"Dark Journey!" depicts a funeral procession near New Orleans where mourners gather at a cemetery, followed by a supernatural encounter involving a being that exists only through human imagination and belief. The entity—which claims to have visited Earth to increase human belief in its realm—offers a mysterious bargain to a mortal who has been transported to its otherworldly domain, but ultimately perishes when the man refuses to allow it to remain on Earth, causing the creature's world to collapse and sending the man back to the living world.
