Silver Surfer #7

The tagline says it all — "Anywhere and Everywhere, Hang On!" — and Michael Allred's cover delivers a wonderfully strange scene to match, placing a chalk-white, masked figure at a cosmic poker table, cards in hand and chips at the ready, surrounded by a packed crowd of aliens, monsters, and otherworldly onlookers watching every move. Two aces and three kings fan out in the foreground, raising the stakes in the most literal sense, while that swirling galaxy backdrop reminds you this game is being played on a truly universal scale. Dan Slott and the Allreds — with Laura Allred's vibrant colors giving the alien gallery real pop — are clearly having a fantastic time taking Silver Surfer somewhere delightfully unexpected.
