Silver Surfer #4

Something has clearly gone wrong for the Sentinel of the Spaceways — Michael Allred's cover places a silver, motionless Silver Surfer flat on a hospital bed while a determined young woman in a red polka-dot dress stands at his side, raising a finger as if issuing firm instructions. Crowding in from the left is a remarkable assembly of Marvel heroes — Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, Nova, the Thing, Daredevil, She-Hulk, and more — all apparently responding to the crisis, alongside a wide-eyed alien figure hovering on the right. Dan Slott and the Allreds (with Laura Allred's characteristically vivid colors) bring their signature warmth and visual wit to "Homeworld," making this fourth issue feel like a genuinely heartfelt gathering of the Marvel Universe around its cosmic wanderer.
