Silver Surfer #2

The cover of this 2014 Marvel Now! issue says it all with its tagline "Anywhere and Everywhere — Hang On!": the Silver Surfer rides his gleaming board through a debris-scattered cosmos while a massive, otherworldly woman in green dominates the foreground, her speckled skin and serene expression hinting at someone of vast cosmic significance. Michael Allred's clean, retro-inflected linework — colored beautifully by Laura Allred — gives the whole scene a sense of boundless wonder that perfectly suits a story titled "Everything and All at Once." Dan Slott and the Allreds are clearly swinging for the stars here, and this second issue looks like a thoroughly joyful ride through the Marvel universe's furthest reaches.
