A Native American named Standing Turtle is hunted by Apache warriors across the frontier, driven by fear of the terrible fate that awaits him if captured. Meanwhile, an old man named Bragg and his associate Willie scheme to sell Papay's claim to mining rights, with Bragg determined to prevent Papay from interfering in their plans. When Papay learns of the betrayal, he pursues the men to stop them, with the help of Sheriff Rion and a loose horseshoe that prevents the criminals from escaping on horseback.
