A stiletto heel grinding down on a shattered framed photograph — showing what appears to be a hero, a sidekick, and a companion in happier times — makes for one of the more quietly chilling cover images in J. Michael Straczynski's Sidekick series. Tom Mandrake and HiFi give the composition a moody, noir-inflected tension, the splintered glass and scattered shards suggesting that someone is very deliberately stomping out the past. "Turning Point" feels like exactly the right title for issue #5, and this cover earns that promise.
