The main story, "The Terror-Pack of Slaveman's Cavern," follows Sheena as she confronts a witch doctor and his minions who have enslaved prisoners and set them against trained elephants in an arena, forcing her to battle the animals and fight for the captives' freedom. A secondary story, "The Great Congo Treasure Trek," depicts Sheena's adventures involving a hunter named Burton who pursues a golden idol guarded by supernatural forces and a witch doctor's traps, ultimately meeting a fatal end through invisible spears at the sacred temple. The issue also includes an additional Sheena thriller involving Sheena leaping from a golden blur to battle a giant trained elephant and rescue those in danger.
When a sacred lion god escapes its temple cage among the Wandorobos, Sheena investigates a trail of attacks and a curse that's terrorizing the tribe—only to discover the "divine beast" is far more human than anyone suspected. With M'Talu's scheme unraveling and the witch doctor's grip on power slipping away, the Jungle Queen must prove that some curses are nothing but clever deception.
When a crippled plane carrying Commissioner Barrow and his daughter Doris puts out a desperate call for help, King of the Congo springs into action with his pal Jingo, only to discover that a renegade named Heydrick is orchestrating the native attack to loot the vessel. As King works to repair the damaged propeller and fend off repeated assaults, both he and Jingo must use all their wits and daring to stop Heydrick's scheme before the heavily outnumbered boat crew is overwhelmed.
