The issue contains two stories. In the main Sheena story, a sorcerer seeking revenge for his brother's death by a tusker transforms a black leopard into a beast through dark magic and uses it to kidnap Sheena's mate, demanding the jungle queen surrender herself. Sheena battles the magical creature, which eventually flees after she wounds it. In "Sita's Secret," three men—naturalist Bradshaw, curio-hunter Peter Scarlet, and their guide Kundoo—journey to an ancient Hindu temple seeking a legendary pearl, only to be captured by the criminal Crawlgore and his men, who threaten to drown them in a stone tank to extract the pearl's location.
