Shadowpact #14

The cover of Shadowpact #14 (August 2007) makes an immediate impression: a massive blue-skinned, horned demon — chest emblazoned with a red bat symbol — comes barreling straight through a shattered doorway, bellowing the words "Take this Shadowpact and shove it!" Behind him, the rest of the team reacts with visible alarm — a caped swordsman, a blonde woman, a green-cloaked figure, a bespectacled woman, and even a small chimpanzee scatter in his wake. Cover art by Tom Derenick and Wayne Faucher sets a wonderfully irreverent tone for "The Redemption Contract, Part One: Quitter!" — a story from writer Bill Willingham that promises friction within DC's supernatural team of heroes.
