Marking its 50th issue in style, this 1968 Marvel milestone sends Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos charging headlong into action with the battle cry "The Invasion Begins!" The cover by Dick Ayers and John Severin puts a grim, determined Fury front and center, submachine gun at the ready, as his squad fans out behind him through a dense, palm-shadowed jungle landscape teeming with tension.
