Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #17

Sergio Aragonés delivers a wonderfully chaotic cover scene for this July 1986 Epic Comics issue, showing the hapless wanderer Groo surrounded — and very nearly consumed — by a swarming horde of toothy, snapping fish as he thrashes through the water, sword in hand and panic on his face. It's a perfect snapshot of the relentless misfortune that follows Groo wherever he roams, rendered in Aragonés's delightfully energetic linework. With "Pescatel (The Hatchery)" as the story title, it seems fish-related catastrophe is very much on the menu this issue.
