Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #10

Sergio Aragonés packs this December 1985 Epic Comics issue with his signature wall-to-wall mayhem — the cover bursts with a crowd of wide-eyed villagers, a lute-strumming jester, swooping blades, and combatants tumbling through the chaos, all rendered in Aragonés' wonderfully expressive line work. Groo himself appears nowhere near the center of calm, which feels entirely appropriate for a wanderer whose arrival tends to unravel everything around him. With Aragonés handling both pencils and inks alongside Mark Evanier, Tom Luth, and Stan Sakai rounding out the creative team, "Groo Meets the Hero" promises the kind of gleeful, beautifully crafted absurdity this series does so well.
