Jonathan Hickman's Secret Warriors reaches its twelfth issue with a cover that delivers exactly what the arc title "Wake the Beast" promises. Jim Cheung and Mark Morales bring an enormous, glowering tentacled creature looming over two fighters — a dark-haired woman in a black tactical suit tearing at its appendages and a muscular bald man grappling in its crushing grip. Stefano Caselli and colorist Sunny Gho handle the interiors, rounding out a creative team that made this series one of Marvel's most compelling spy-action books of 2010.
