After their wedding, Louise and Frank plan to live in a house owned by his father, and Louise has been collecting linens, etc. in her "hope chest." Unknown to Louise, Frank’s father is going broke and has to sell the house; Frank, feeling Louise will be too disappointed after all her planning, breaks up with her. Louise learns the truth and donates the contents of her hope chest to a charity bazaar, telling Frank that he’s more important to her than material things.
