Secret Six #31

A woman draped in a sweeping purple-and-crimson cloak sits enthroned with cold, composed authority, flanked by a massive skull-masked figure looming behind her and a monstrous clawed limb reaching in from the side — all set against a backdrop of hellish flame and candlelight. Dan LuVisi's cover art gives the whole scene an operatic, darkly regal atmosphere that fits right in with Gail Simone's run on this series. With part one of "The Darkest House" and the creative team of Simone and Calafiore at the helm, this 2011 issue promises the kind of morally complicated villainy the Secret Six does best.
