Part of DC's 2010 "Blackest Night" crossover event, this issue of Secret Six pulls no punches — the cover by Dan LuVisi depicts a massive, snarling tiger bearing down on a gold-costumed fighter who is clearly struggling to hold on. The raw physicality of that confrontation, claws and desperation locked together in a single charged image, perfectly captures the brutal tone that writers Gail Simone and John Ostrander brought to this team throughout their run. With art by J. Calafiore inside, "Danse Macabre Part 2" promises the kind of visceral, morally complicated action that made Secret Six one of DC's most compelling titles of the era.
