Secret Avengers #14

The cover to Secret Avengers #14 is a dizzying, hypnotic swirl of yellow and gold that pulls a whole crew of covert operatives — including figures in black tactical gear, a red-suited Deadpool, and a winged character — into a spiraling vortex centered on a target reticle, while a wide-eyed, goggled robotic or alien face looms large in the foreground with an unsettling grin. It's a wonderfully disorienting composition from the team of Kot, Walsh, and Wilson that perfectly captures the off-kilter espionage energy this series does so well. If you've been following Marvel's most unpredictable black-ops squad in 2015, this issue looks like it delivers another wild turn.
