Featuring stories by Roy Thomas, John Buscema, and other legendary creators, these tales continue Conan's adventures across the Hyborian Age with epic battles, sorcery, and political intrigue. The collection includes adaptations of Robert E. Howard's original stories as well as original narratives, all presented in the magazine's signature grim, detailed art style.
In "Sons of the White Wolf," Conan leads his crew in a relentless pursuit of the ruthless Turanian general Artaban, who has callously murdered their wounded comrades. With help from the resourceful slave girl Roxana and a former Yuetshi chief named Vinashko, Conan uncovers a hidden path to Gleg the Zaporoskan’s fortress, where he confronts Artaban in a deadly showdown. The story unfolds with grim intensity, as loyalty, betrayal, and fate collide in a tale that lingers long after the final page. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated with dynamic precision by John Buscema, inks by Tony DeZuniga, and lettered by Joe Rosen, the issue’s cover by Earl Norem captures the savage grandeur of the Hyborian Age.

Conan and his pirates chase after the Turanian general Artaban, who has killed their wounded comrades in cold blood. Artaban saves the slave girl Roxana from Hyrkanian reavers, and she quickly talks him into saving Prince Teyaspa of Turan, who is being held prisoner in the castle of Gleg the Zaporoskan. Meanwhile, Conan befriends Vinashko, a former Yuetshi chief who shows Conan a secret passage to Gleg's castle, where Conan finds and kills Artaban. In despair, Roxana kills Teyaspa and then herself. Chased by demons, Conan escapes only to find that the pirates have abandoned him.
