Matt Fraction and Howard Chaykin's noir-soaked series about the seedy underbelly of early television returns with issue eleven, and the cover sets the mood perfectly. Against a glittering nocturnal New York City skyline — the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings unmistakable in the background — a woman's leg in a stiletto heel dominates the foreground, shot from an unsettling low angle that gives the whole image a sense of danger and glamour in equal measure. Chaykin's draftsmanship is as sharp as ever, capturing the city's electric nightlife while keeping that unmistakable tension humming just beneath the surface.
