This Polish-language Vertigo collection, published by Egmont Polska in 2004, brings Neil Gaiman's Sandman arc "Zabawa w ciebie" (A Game of You) to Polish readers with the brooding visual sensibility that defines the series. Dave McKean's cover is a haunting collage of layered imagery — a gaunt, shadowed face looming large, a black-and-white photograph of a young woman, a skull, and fragments of earth and sky — all evoking dreamlike unease in McKean's signature style. With interior work by Shawn McManus, Colleen Doran, George Pratt, and Dick Giordano, this first installment promises a richly illustrated journey into Gaiman's world of myth and imagination.
