Sandman #[7]
This Polish-language DC/Vertigo edition of Sandman — "Pora Mgieł, Część II" — brings Neil Gaiman's writing together with interior art by Matt Wagner, Malcolm Jones III, and Daniel Vozzo's colors in what promises to be a rich, atmospheric chapter. Dave McKean's cover is a characteristically hypnotic assemblage: a large skeleton key dominates the foreground, flanked by an intricate orrery-like mechanism at the center and a luminous nautilus shell to the right, all layered against torn, weathered textures of gold, teal, and deep crimson. It's the kind of image that rewards lingering — symbolic and slightly unsettling, perfectly in tune with the dreamlike world Gaiman built for this series.
