Sam and Twitch #4

This 1999 Image series starring the fan-favorite detective duo from the Spawn universe takes a darkly atmospheric turn with issue four of the "Udaku" arc. Ashley Wood's painted cover is genuinely unsettling — split into two ghostly panels, it shows Twitch rendered as an eerie, glowing-eyed silhouette on the left while Sam's strained, shadowed face peers back from the right, all set against a brooding backdrop of a rain-slicked street and churning, smoke-filled sky. Brian Michael Bendis and Angel Medina's noir-soaked take on these two detectives looks as moody and gripping here as ever.
