Sad Sack Comics #95
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePoor Sad Sack just can't catch a break — on George Baker's cover for this July 1959 Harvey issue, the eternally beleaguered enlisted man finds himself collapsed and exhausted beside a small watering hole, only to discover a sign declaring it strictly "Off Limits to Enlisted Personnel." It's a perfectly deflating moment that captures everything lovable about this downtrodden soldier's luck, and the bold orange-and-yellow palette gives the gag a sunny, cheerful punch that makes it all the more fun.
