Poor Sad Sack just can't catch a break — here he is trapped inside a flaming, arrow-riddled tent near an "Indian Reservation" sign while his faithful dog looks on, as a wild cavalry-and-riders chase thunders across the horizon behind him. George Baker's cartooning is in fine form with this 1959 Harvey cover, wringing maximum comic misery from our hapless hero's latest predicament. "Loved by Millions" says the banner, and it's easy to see why — Sad Sack's gift for stumbling into disaster is utterly irresistible.
