Harvey's long-running army comedy series returns in this June 1963 issue, with a cover by George Baker that captures the series' cheerful chaos perfectly. The hapless Sad Sack gets battered by a floor-polishing machine run amok, while a scrawny monkey dances on the spinning pad, a mustachioed civilian blasts music from a red radio, and a bemused Sergeant looks on from the foreground — all with that signature rubbery, loose-limbed charm. It's the kind of warm, goofy slapstick that earned this series its "Loved by Millions" tagline, and it's easy to see why.
