Harvey Comics' long-running army comedy series returns in fine form with this 1963 issue, cover by George Baker. The cover finds our hapless hero Sad Sack caught in a classic moment of chaos — paddle in hand mid-ping-pong rally, his hair standing on end as a wide-eyed sergeant lets out a startled "GULP," while a second sergeant coolly watches the ball sail skyward, and little Mutsy the dog looks on from below. It's the kind of warmly absurd military humor that earned this series its tagline "Loved by Millions," and Baker's loose, expressive linework makes every reaction feel perfectly timed.
