“Sale Tale”

Sabrina, the Teenage Witch hits a wonderfully witchy marketplace in this December 1975 issue, as the cover — penciled by Stan Goldberg and inked by Jon D'Agostino — drops our heroine into "Hexy Harriet's Witches Used Broom Lot," where a flamboyantly dressed saleswoman pitches brooms boasting "3000 miles to a gallon of potion." Sabrina looks on with a skeptical expression while a white-haired figure in red stands nearby, balloons and sale signs filling the lot with cheerful chaos. It's a perfectly silly premise that captures the light comic magic of the Archie Series at its most playful.
