A young girl in a psychiatric hospital begins an experimental treatment to split her psyche so that her normal behavior and her violent outbursts are effectively split into two separate personalities. Progress is made until another inmate burns one of her friends to death causing Rose to release Thorn with disfiguring results to the arsonist, Ashleigh Penzler.
