Pat is about to be married when a man shows up claiming to be her husband. Three years ago, she and her father had been in South America when news of a revolution reached them. The only way to get her out of the country was to arrange for a marriage with a young American reporter in prison, awaiting execution. Pat and her father had forgotten about the young man until he showed up alive at her wedding to Nigel.
