Millie the Model Comics #73

Dan DeCarlo's cover for this December 1956 Atlas Comics entry captures "the Blonde Bombshell" Millie in her red swimsuit and "Kiddie Guard" sash, striding purposefully past a kiddies wading pool while three very grown young men splash around inside, crying "Help! Help! Help!" — apparently hoping their distress will catch her attention. It's a breezy, sunny gag that showcases the light romantic comedy charm that made Millie the Model a staple of mid-1950s comics. A delightful ten-cent slice of beachside humor from the Atlas era.
