A Shi'ar warship transports a force sphere on board only to find it contains a rogue Space Knight who immediately attacks. They take Pulsar down but the ship's doctor, Tyreseus, whose race was subjugated by the Shi'ar, merges with the armor and renews the battle. When the Imperial Guard arrive to investigate the destruction of their ships, they encounter Rom and his fellow Space Knights in the vicinity and arrest them. Finally able to convince Gladiator of their innocence, Rom agrees to help track and stop Pulsar. Gladiator uses a star gate to send Rom home to Galador.
