RoboCop #1 (1991) kicks off a gritty, thought-provoking take on a privatized police force in Detroit, where human officers are replaced by human-machine hybrids. Written by Bob Harras and Siebe Snoeren, with art by Javier Saltares and Alan Kupperberg, and a striking cover by Lee Sullivan, the story follows a prototype hybrid whose growing memories begin to unravel the line between man and machine.
