Maid Marian visits a castle where a prisoner in an iron mask pleads for help. It's King Richard, imprisoned by Prince John. The king convinces Marian as he recalls hunting boar with her. Marian goes to Sherwood, and Robin and his Merry Men rush to the rescue. But they're ambushed and captured! Prince John set a trap: the prisoner is his own hireling. Robin went ahead and was murdered. The Merry Men leave in disgrace. The Man in the Iron Mask appears - and is actually Robin Hood, who robs Prince John and swings away laughing.
